St Thomas More Catholic Academy and The Trinity Sixth Form are once again delighted with some excellent A level results this year. Provisional indications are that 36% of grades achieved were A* – B and 98% of grades A* – E, an increase on 2018.

We are extremely proud of all our students, it really shows that hard work does pay off.

Headteacher Mr Rayner said: “We are delighted with our A-Level results this year and are immensely proud of the achievements of all of our students. They have risen to the challenges remarkably well and returned results that do themselves and their school great credit. We are delighted to see so many of our students succeeding in gaining access to their first-choice destination next year, whether this is at university, a professional apprenticeships or the workplace. As a school, we are also confident that our outcomes this year will maintain our standing as one of the best Sixth Forms in the city.”

Mrs Bradbury, Head of Sixth Form of Sixth Form commented:  “This has been a fantastic group of students to work with. They have been good humoured, worked hard, and coped well with the pressures of A level studies; they truly deserve the excellent results they have achieved! We are very proud of those students who have achieved competitive university places. The whole year group have given a great deal throughout their time at St Thomas More Catholic Academy and I wish them every success in the future.”

Rob Flello, Chair of Governors added: “’Congratulations are due to a terrific group of students and their teachers who worked so hard to achieve these amazing results. We share their pride and excitement as they embark on the next phase of their lives and thank them for their significant contribution to school life over the past few years.”

Next Thursday St Thomas More Catholic Academy we will be welcoming students from across the city into the sixth form, all looking to take the right steps in their future education.  This year we will also be also hosting the David Campbell Soccer School, adding more breadth of curriculum within our Sixth Form.
