Enrichment
Enrichment at St Thomas More Catholic Academy
Enrichment is a central part of every student’s education at St Thomas More Catholic Academy. We know that enrichment opportunities help young people develop knowledge, skills, confidence and a love of learning alongside the academic curriculum.
We believe that a rich programme of enrichment experiences helps to broaden horizons, raise aspirations and foster a greater sense of belonging within our school community. Through participation in a wide range of activities, students develop essential skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, leadership, resilience and confidence, helping to prepare them for life beyond school.
students are encouraged to discover new interests, develop their talents and engage with the wider world around them.
Our enrichment programme is designed to bring learning to life, complement the curriculum and support the personal development of every student. A well-designed enrichment offer provides opportunities for young people to engage positively with education, strengthen relationships, contribute to their communities and develop the confidence to shape their own futures.
As part of our commitment to Aspire to be More, we are determined that high-quality enrichment opportunities should be available to all students. We recognise the important role enrichment plays in supporting wellbeing, engagement and achievement, and we strive to ensure that every young person is known, loved, valued and given the opportunity to flourish. Our enrichment offer is rooted in our Catholic values of Faith, Excellence and Respect, which underpin all aspects of school life.
