Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) Lead Practitioner

Level 7 (scp 25-28) £23,111-£25,463 pro rata

22 hours per week termtime + INSET plus 10 days

The Directors are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced person to be responsible for Careers Provision to all students from Year 7 through to Year 13. This work will contribute to the successful transition of students to a variety of post 16 destinations and higher education and employment. The post holder will work in collaboration with our independent CEIAG advisor from Stoke-on-Trent City Council, who undertakes 1-1 interviews with all Year 11, 12 and 13 students.

The post is for 22 hours per week termtime + INSET plus an additional 10 days (GCSE and A level results weeks). It will also be necessary to attend occasional evening events including careers events and some parents’ evenings. Hours will be flexible to suit the candidate and the school.

Casual Examination Invigilators

Level 3 scp 13 £9.01 per hour

We are seeking to recruit casual examination invigilators to supervise our students taking internal and external examinations throughout the year but mainly during the Summer examination period (May/June).  Examination Invigilators work under the overall guidance of our Examinations Officer and will:

  • be responsible for starting and finishing the examination
  • distribute examination papers to students and collate at the end of the examination
  • maintain the security and integrity of the examination papers
  • monitor students during the examination

Training will be provided to successful applicants and experience is not essential but would be advantageous.

We are looking to recruit candidates who have good communication skills, are reliable and have a calm demeanour.  Hours of work are flexible and are agreed, with the Examinations Officer, in advance of the commencement of the exam period.

Lunchtime Supervisor

Living Wage – £8.75 ph, Term Time Only – Actual Pay £2,890 pa: 7.5 hours per week

The Directors are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to cover inside duties and a Lunchtime Supervisor to cover outside duties.

Inside duties include assisting children in the dining room, clearing tables, disposing of waste food and drink and sweeping/mopping the floor.  Outside duties include patrolling the playground and “out of bounds” areas regularly and ensuring pupils place their litter into the receptacles provided. It is possible that successful candidates will need to be flexible and move between the two posts.

To help to maintain a safe working environment for pupils and staff by continuously monitoring general circulation areas for food/drink spillages and taking prompt and effective action to deal with any such hazards.

Hours of work will be from 12.40pm to 2.10pm, Monday to Friday.

Casual Mini Bus Driver

The directors are looking for a flexible and reliable driver to:

Transport students to and from educational venues and other establishments using the school minibus.

Carry out routine maintenance checks on the school vehicle and to report/rectify any defects as appropriate.

Maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the school vehicle.

Keep and retain accurate records relating to driving hours, journeys undertaken and any other such documentation relating to the driving and maintenance of the school’s vehicle.
