Site Manager

35 hours pw (Whole Year)

Level 6 (scp 12-17)

Actual Salary £17,781-£19,631 pa (Pay Award Pending)

We are seeking to appoint a Site Manager to work under the direction of the School Business Manager/Premises Manager to provide routine site supervision and/or cleaning tasks to support the effective operation of the school.

St Thomas More Catholic Academy is an 11-18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school with 1108 students on roll which has an excellent reputation throughout the area. On 1 November 2013 St Thomas More together with four primary academies formed the All Saints’ Catholic Collegiate (MAC).

The post is for 35 hours per week (whole year).

Hours: 6:45 am-2:15 pm Monday-Friday.

LEARNING SUPPORT PRACTITIONER

28 hours per week (Monday-Friday) termtime + INSET (6 days)

Level 5 (scp 7-12)

Actual salary: £12,884-£14,225 (Pay Award Pending)

The Directors are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Practitioner. The successful candidate will be based in our SEND department and will join a team of 15 LSPs.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • carry out individual programmes of learning, specifically to support the pupil concerned
  • assist in the implementation of any other programmes of support designed by other professionals such as advisory teachers, Educational Psychologists and speech therapists
  • contribute to the students integration programme as identified by the school
  • carry out specialist interventions to individuals or small groups

The main duties and tasks:

  • to support teachers within the classroom.
  • to support the general care, welfare and safety of the pupil
  • to assist in the preparation of teaching materials and equipment in support of the pupil concerned
  • to liaise professionally with our SENCo, Assistant SENCo and the teaching staff
  • to liaise with parents where necessary

 The post is for 28 hours per week (Monday-Friday) during term-time plus INSET.

Casual Mini Bus Driver

The directors are looking for a flexible and reliable driver to:

Transport students to and from educational venues and other establishments using the school minibus.

Carry out routine maintenance checks on the school vehicle and to report/rectify any defects as appropriate.

Maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the school vehicle.

Keep and retain accurate records relating to driving hours, journeys undertaken and any other such documentation relating to the driving and maintenance of the school’s vehicle.
