The Directors are seeking to appoint a dynamic, innovative and inspirational teacher to join our ICT Department to teach across the 11-18 mixed ability range in ICT and Business. We are looking for candidates with flair, passion and commitment.

LEARNING SUPPORT PRACTITIONER

28 hours per week (Monday-Friday) Termtime + INSET (6 days)

Level 5 (scp 17-21)

Actual salary: £12,302-£13,534 pa

The Directors are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Practitioner.  The successful candidate will be based in our SEND department and will join a team of 15 LSPs.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • carry out individual programmes of learning, specifically to support the pupil concerned
  • assist in the implementation of any other programmes of support designed by other professionals such as advisory teachers, Educational Psychologists and speech therapists
  • contribute to the students’ integration programme as identified by the school
  • carry out specialist interventions to individuals or small groups

The main duties and tasks:

  • to support teachers within the classroom
  • to support the general care, welfare and safety of the pupil
  • to assist in the preparation of teaching materials and equipment in support of the pupil concerned
  • to liaise professionally with our SENCo, Assistant SENCo and the teaching staff
  • to liaise with parents where necessary

The post is for 28 hours per week (Monday-Friday) during termtime plus INSET.

The post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974

Lunchtime Supervisor

Living Wage – £8.75 ph, Term Time Only – Actual Pay £2,890 pa: 7.5 hours per week

The Directors are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to cover inside duties and a Lunchtime Supervisor to cover outside duties.

Inside duties include assisting children in the dining room, clearing tables, disposing of waste food and drink and sweeping/mopping the floor.  Outside duties include patrolling the playground and “out of bounds” areas regularly and ensuring pupils place their litter into the receptacles provided. It is possible that successful candidates will need to be flexible and move between the two posts.

To help to maintain a safe working environment for pupils and staff by continuously monitoring general circulation areas for food/drink spillages and taking prompt and effective action to deal with any such hazards.

Hours of work will be from 12.40pm to 2.10pm, Monday to Friday.
