This summer saw a new school record in our GCSE Basics measure for English and Maths with 49% of our pupils achieving Grades 4 to 9 in both subjects. To achieve this 67% of our Year 11 pupils achieved a Grade 4 to 9 in one aspect of English with 55% achieving the same grades in Maths. In all subjects, 26 of the new Grade 9s were achieved. These test pupils to a level not seen in previous years and are a testament to the hard work of our pupils. In addition, 65% of our Year 10 pupils already have at least a Grade 4 in English Literature.
