On Friday 28th June, staff and students came together at The Wayfarer for an evening to celebrate the hard work of the Year 13 students and to have one last get together before students embark on their next adventure in their chosen universities and career paths. From the outset the room was laid out beautifully with every little detail, and even favours specifically thanking staff which were lovely keep sakes. The food was second to none and there wasn’t a crumb left on anyone’s plate, and we received outstanding customer service from the staff all night. After the meal, Head Girl Roshni gave a meaningful speech thanking head of Sixth Form Mrs Bradbury alongside Mrs Oakes and Mrs Possenette for all their hard work and always being there when the students needed them. The students presented them with bouquets of flowers. The atmosphere was wonderful with a photo booth set up to treasure all those special memories. The bond between staff and students is obvious to see, with students spending the last 7 years growing, developing and flourishing into young adults that are well prepared for their next steps in life.
St Thomas More wishes all the students leaving year 13 the very best for the future and they will truly miss every single one of you.
