A-Level Results 2020

5 months ago we were faced with the challenge of the country going in to lockdown and our school closing for all except key workers children and vulnerable students.  Our students had to quickly adapt to a new way of learning alongside the anxiety and worry of what their exams might look like.  As we progressed through lockdown, it was made clear that our Year 13 students would not be taking their exams this year.  The concern grew for students as did the disappointment of working so hard to achieve the best results they could for their future education.  The wait for results day has seemed particularly long this year but we are delighted to be able to celebrate with our students and all the success they have achieved.  Students have really earned their grades this year, by showing resilience, dedication and perseverance towards their future goals and the outcomes have been outstanding.

100% of our students applying to universities have been allocated places; to name a few, Jeslin Thomas is heading to Bristol University to study Aerospace Engineering, Jai Mohan is going to study Physics at UCL and Hassan Hashmi Physics and Mathematics and the University of Manchester, Daniel Poppinger has accepted a place at the University of Salford studying Acoustical and Audio Engineering, Head Girl Aleena Vijee is attending Birmingham University studying English, as well as Head Boy Joshua Goodwin who will be attending Keele University studying International Business.

This will always be the year that we remember the student’s strength and positive attitudes that has enabled them to succeed.  We can’t wait to see you all again and wish all of you the best for your chosen destinations! May you always ‘Aspire to be More’.
