Today, Careers STMCA were excited to host a visit from:  Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England​, Ali Moussavi, Senior Private Secretary to the Governor​, and Graeme Chaplin, Agent for the Bank of England’s West Midlands and Oxfordshire network in November 2008​

All our finest mathematician’s, economists and all of Year 8 as part of their Careers in Maths focus, were invited to take part in a question-and-answer session, following an explanation and CBBC video featuring Andrew Bailey.

The Year 8’s rose to the aspirational challenge of interviewing the Governor of the Bank of England, with pertinent questions ranging from, crypto assets, the Gold Reserves, King Charles III on Bank notes to how much Money he had in his wallet!

Andrew Bailey commented that he had never had so many questions, or so interested an audience. It was inspiring to see so many financiers of the future making the most of an employer encounter like no other.
