LEARNING SUPPORT PRACTITIONER

28 HOURS PER WEEK TERMTIME + INSET

Actual Salary £12,302-£13,534 pa

Required from 3 September 2018 the Directors are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Practitioner. The successful candidate will be based in our SEND department and will join a team of 15 LSPs. 

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • carry out individual programmes of learning, specifically to support the pupil concerned
  • assist in the implementation of any other programmes of support designed by other professionals such as advisory teachers, Educational Psychologists and speech therapists
  • contribute to the students integration programme as identified by the school
  • carry out specialist interventions to individuals or small groups

The main duties and tasks:

  • to support teachers within the classroom.
  • to support the general care, welfare and safety of the pupil
  • to assist in the preparation of teaching materials and equipment in support of the pupil concerned
  • to liaise professionally with our SENCo, Assistant SENCo and the teaching staff
  • to liaise with parents where necessary

The post is a permanent post for 28 hours per week (Monday-Friday) during term-time plus INSET.

Assistant Site Supervisor

Pay: Stoke Level 4 (SCP 13-17) Actual pay £16,450 to £17,330

The Directors of All Saints Catholic Collegiate are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and committed Assistant Site Supervisor at St Thomas More Catholic Academy, to work alongside and take direction from the Site Manager.  This is an important role supporting the school, ensuring that the school is presented at its best at all times.  To ensure that routine inspection checks are carried out and be responsible for basic maintenance tasks.

This is a permanent position, to start as soon as possible. Hours of work are 35 hours per week, to be worked either 8.30am to 4.00pm.  Some flexibility is required to cover holiday where working hours will be amended to 6.30am to 3.00pm and for occasional late lock up.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to follow H&S and COSHH instructions
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Have some DIY experience

Lunchtime Supervisor

Living Wage - £8.75ph

Term Time Only

Actual Pay £2890pa

7.5 hours per week

The Directors are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to cover inside duties and a Lunchtime Supervisor to cover outside duties. 

Inside duties include assisting children in the dining room, clearing tables, disposing of waste food and drink and sweeping/mopping the floor.  Outside duties include patrolling the playground and “out of bounds” areas regularly and ensuring pupils place their litter into the receptacles provided.  It is possible that successful candidates will need to be flexible and move between the two posts.

To help to maintain a safe working environment for pupils and staff by continuously monitoring general circulation areas for food/drink spillages and taking prompt and effective action to deal with any such hazards.

Hours of work will be from 12.40pm to 2.10pm, Monday to Friday.
